Look for ones that have small spikes on the bottom which not only offer grip so the table doesn’t slide during vigorous play but that also helps to protect the carpet by distributing the weight.
- Furniture pads: These are round or square pads that can be placed under each leg of the table to protect the carpet. The weight of the table may be too much for thin pads so look for thicker ones that won’t get crushed.
- Felt pads: These soft, sticky pads can be placed under the legs of the table to protect the carpet and reduce noise. As with the furniture pads, ensure you buy thick, good quality ones that can support the weight of your table.
Another option is to relocate the table from time to time or at least to move the table to fluff up the carpet that the table is sitting on every so often.
